Lisa Collins Werner
Lisa Collins Werner is the owner of Consensus Mediation Group. Lisa is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Civil and Family Law Mediator. Her success as a mediator is built on her exceptional ability to help identify the key issues underlying a dispute and to focus the mediation process on achieving a fair and expedient resolution.
Lisa is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Missouri and Illinois and brings more than 20 years of experience in business and law to the mediation group. She has handled mediations dealing with a variety of business issues, including contract negotiations, employment disputes and real estate conflicts. She has successfully practiced civil litigation and insurance defense. Lisa has launched several businesses and served as their general counsel. She has gained extensive experience in employment discrimination while managing over 500 cases for the Missouri Commission on Human Rights.

Experience and training relevant to domestic violence:
- Established Knox County Task Force Against Domestic Violence in 1986
- Drafted original domestic violence policy for Knoxville Police Department and assisted in drafting violence policy for Knox County Sheriff’s Department
- Police training on domestic violence in Knoxville, Alcoa, Blount County, City of Maryville, and Loudon County; attorney training on domestic violence in Knox County and Blount County

Mike Powell
Mike Powell specializes in general and complex civil litigation including real estate, worker’s compensation, personal injury, products liability, fidelity and surety bond litigation. His experience with the FDIC and as in-house bank counsel allowed him to handle collection related litigation, foreclosures and complex workout negotiations as well as providing advisory opinions to senior management regarding special assets, deposit accounts and other operational matters. His experience representing and advising clients in a variety of areas provides him with the practical, hands-on problem solving and conflict resolution ability to guide parties as their neutral to practical and workable solutions. He truly understands that the most time and cost effective method of resolving disputes is through mediation.
In addition to his work as an attorney, Mr. Powell worked in the building supply business and is a past vice president of the Home Builders Association of the Upper Cumberland.
Mr. Powell is a Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator.
